Railway Gala Weekend
10/11 July 2010

Gala Weekend is over for another year. It was hot, but everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves - volunteers, exhibitors and visitors alike judging from the feed back we have received.

And in case you still haven't had enough - the next railway event at Amberley will be our Autumn Industrial Trains event on Sunday 17 October. All the usual fun plus shed tours too.


The Amberley Steam Locomotive
Driving Experience is back

Now that Peter is back in steam, the courses are once again being offered.

Although we added two extra dates, the course is again almost fully booked so if you are contemplating trying it, you would be best advised to act sooner rather than later!!

2 foot gauge volunteer

We are always happy to welcome new volunteers to Amberley, not just on the railway but generally.
Ideally new volunteers should already be 2 foot gauge, like the one illustrated, but our workshop
facilities have the means to regauge suitable candidates if necessary - even from standard gauge!
