Spring Industrial Trains Day
Visiting locomotive

For the first time we had a visiting locomotive at Industrials Day - a small Lister-based rebuild brought along by Joe Nemeth and his son, Dan.

Named Dinorwic, the loco was rebuilt by Dan Nemeth using various Lister parts. The engine is petrol. Here, Dan drives through Brockhamwith our train of works wagons - 10-on I think. Tony Watton looks aprehensive on the brake skip.

He needn't have worried, Dinorwic made it all the way to Amberley and back again.

Towards the end of the day Dinorwic was transferred to the tunnel line for photgraphic reasons. Here the skips are shunted into the tunnel ....

.... and then hauled out again.

Dinorwic heads up the cliffside line.

This year, Spring Industrial Trains Day ran in tandem with our Vintage Bicycle event - well, it gets my vote.

More pictures of the two events, taken by Andrew Neish, can be found here.
