SEA LION AT AMBERLEY

On Monday 27 June our important visitor from the Isle of Man arrived. Although it at first glance it looks as if the loco came off the track as soon as it was unloaded, the jack was only brought to bear to assist in getting the rear wheels over the rails to prevent a derailment.

Sea Lion remained at the Museum for Railway Gala Weekend and then both locos departed for the Isle of Man to continue the 100th Birthday celebrations .... of which more anon!

Anyway - here're the photos ............

To maximise the benefits of having Sea Lion at Amberley, the Museum train service was operated using both Bagnalls on Saturday and Sunday 3/4 July.

Sea Lion leaves the new running shed to take up service.

Sea Lion awaits the guard's right-a-way at Brockham.

Sea Lion leads Polar Bear out of Amberley (NG) Station during Sunday afternoon.
